About the Convention

Brown County State Park

Brown County State Park is located amongst the rolling hills of the "Little Smokies" just outside of beautiful Nashville Indiana.  Nashville is approximately 16 miles West of Columbus, Indiana, just off I-65.  Columbus is roughly halfway between Indianapolis and Louisville.

Autocross

The autocross site is the Seymour Municipal Airport in Seymour, Indiana.  The Columbus Sports Car Club will oversee course setup, timing, and scoring.  The VTR Autocross class designations are attached for reference.

VTR Car Show

The Car Show will be held at the North Show Field in Brown County State Park.  There is a shelter house and bathrooms close to the field.  You may pre-purchase a box lunch to be delivered at the show in the Registration section below.

VTR - Concours Rules

Nashville, Indiana

The town of Nashville has a number of small shops and restaurants that are perfect for walking, shopping, and dining.  Close by are wineries, distilleries, Indiana University, and the architectural city of Columbus.

Hotels

Abe Martin Lodge - Brown County State Park

The Abe Martin Lodge is the primary host location for the 2024 VTR Convention.  The Lodge has 84 rooms plus cabins for an additional 88 guests, the Little Gem Restaurant, and an indoor water park.  All elements of the convention (registration, vendor area, tech sessions, evening events, banquet) will be located in or around Abe Martin Lodge / Brown County State Park.

Reservations can be made by calling 1-877-LODGES-1 (877-563-4371).  Select Option 1 from the menu and Option 1, again.  Tell the Operator GROUP CODE 0908TR when making your reservation to be included in the block of rooms set aside for the convention.

Abe Martin Lodge

The Seasons Lodge - Nashville, Indiana

The Seasons Lodge is located roughly 2 miles from the North entrance to Brown County State Park in Nashville, IN.  It is near downtown Nashville and the Hard Truth Distillery.  Registrants will need to pick up their registration materials at Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County State Park.  Tell the Park entry gate personnel that you are with the VTR Convention to enter Brown County State Park.  

Reservations can be made by calling 1-812-988-2284.  Reference VTR 2024 for the convention's reserved block of rooms.

Trailer Parking (Abe Martin Lodge Guests ONLY)

Trailer parking for those staying at Abe Martin Lodge is available at Brown County State Park.  Trailers must enter the park via the West entrance.  Rigs may be parked in the asphalt lots by the park swimming pool on the North end of the park.

Registration

  • You must be a VTR member to register. Annual membership is $35. You must also select "Regular Registration Option 1." This is for registrants who are not VTR members!

This option is for NEW members only! If you are an existing VTR member, renew your membership via the VTR website.

Vintage Triumph Register - Website

  • One driver, one passenger (optional), and one Triumph car. A passenger is the spouse/partner of the Triumph owner or a child under the age of 18. Registration will increase to $180 after April 1, 2024

  • One person, NO CAR. (Includes Welcome Reception and goody bag)

* This award is for cars not participating in the judged Concours classes. The award will go to the car that best typifies a well-cared-for and much-loved Triumph with emphasis on regular use rather than perfection.

    Awards Banquet

    The awards banquet will be the final evening of the 2024 VTR convention, Thursday, September 12, at the Abe Martin Lodge.  Attendance is limited to 240 people maximum.  There will be a cash bar before and during the banquet.

    The Little Gem restaurant at the Abe Martin Lodge will be open for dining the night of the banquet.

    Other Local Drives and Points of Interest

    • Located approximately 30 miles Northwest of Nashville. The tasting room is open daily from 12-6 pm.

    • Columbus, Indiana is the World Headquarters for Cummins Engine. The museum covers the history of Cummins and their development of diesel engines. This is a subscribed drive and must be signed up for in advance.

    • A roughly 65-mile loop from Nashville through Brown and Monroe counties. Crosses Yellowwood State Forest and Monroe Reservoir.

    • The West Baden Hotel is an architectural marvel with a vast domed interior. This is roughly a 2-hour drive each way from Nashville. French Lick is also famous as the home of Larry Bird.

    Car Insurance, VTR Rules, and Liability Waiver

    *All participants in moving events are required to have current automobile liability insurance.

    *Under VTR rules all Triumphs entering Concours and Participants’ Choice car shows are required to participate in at least one driving event.

    *Tech and safety inspections are required to participate in the autocross. Any vehicle can be disqualified at the technical inspector’s discretion for safety reasons.

    *I understand that my passenger(s) and I are participating in the 2024 Vintage Triumph Register (VTR) National Convention at our own risk and agree not to hold the event organizers, its members, including but not limited to Indiana Triumph Cars, Vintage Triumph Register, collectively and separately liable for any and all damages or injuries that may occur while participating in, traveling to/from, or in any way related to this event. I understand that the Organizers cannot be responsible for the actions of others and insist on care and caution throughout the event. Neither the organizers nor anyone else except me has insurance protecting me or my guests during the activities of this event.
